Elevated HR Solutions

I moved to Calgary in 2005, chasing the dream of a more flexible future in terms of prosperity and opportunity.  In 2010, I decided to leave the corporate world and start my own business, supporting small and medium sized businesses with their HR needs. I’ve since hired 6 women to work for me, supporting close to 50 businesses with their HR needs. My aim is to truly enjoy who we work with, provide a worthwhile service as partners and have fun all at the same time. I want to learn from others who have chased that same Alberta dream to be inspired!

If I could be seated by anyone, I would sit next to Ruth Handler (creator of the Barbie Doll and co-owner of Mattel). As a brand new mom, I hope to one day create a future for my daughter and make an impact on the world similar to Ruth. While there has been tremendous success of the Barbie doll, it has also undergone some massive scrutiny as it relates to women, namely giving the wrong message about what women should look.  My questions would be about keeping your chin up even when the world seems to want bring you down. How do you maintain confidence and a step forward when the world seems to be telling you you're wrong?
