Edith Wouters - Farm Credit Canada in Red Deer, AB
Edith's family immigrated to Canada in 1996 to start a Dairy farm just east of Bowden. She was raised on the farm and then moved to Edmonton to attend Grant MacEwan University. She has always been passionate about agriculture and educating people on where their food comes from. She was a member of the Mountainview Dairy 4-H club for 9 years. Edith now lives in Red Deer and has been working for Farm Credit Canada for 2 years. She enjoys being able to interact with farmers on a daily basis and also going back to the farm frequently.
Some of her hobbies are singing with the Hearts of Harmony choir in Red Deer, being Vice-President for the Danish Canadian Club, leading the volunteering at work for our Ronald McDonald House, Drive Away Hunger and Adopt a family, and most recently joining the Farm Women's Conference Committee out in Crossfield. Edith loves the outdoors, traveling and meeting new people.
