Felicia Zuniga - Writer in Calgary, AB
Felicia is a born-and-raised Calgarian who has been telling stories her entire life. She has a degree in English Honours with a Creative Writing Concentration from the University of Calgary and a Master's of Journalism degree from Carleton University in Ottawa.
She has worked as a TV news producer and a media and communications specialist, but her real passion is writing about the inspiring people and places in our city. Her stories have appeared in WestJet Magazine, Calgary Herald, Swerve, Avenue Calgary Magazine, U Magazine and New Trail and can be found on her website at feliciazuniga.com.
She sits on the Board of Directors for the Calgary Catholic Education Foundation, which raises funds to provide enhanced learning opportunities for over 55,000 students in Calgary. She also teaches classes at the Alexandra Writers' Centre Society, sharing her love for social media and writing.
Felicia grew up in a big Italian family. Her food memories include salami, mortadella and proscuitto buns on Saturdays and steaming bowls of homemade pasta on Sundays. She has always appreciated the value of enjoying a home-cooked meal with family and friends.
