Stacey Mathon - Rancher & Farmer in Innisfail, AB
Farmer, Rancher, Full time Mom. Stacey grew up in a small town in Southern Alberta, Mountain View, on a family commercial Beef operation where her love of livestock and hard work was born. She was formerly involved in UFA’s New Advisory Committee where she met her husband, Derek Mathon, of 8 years. Since then they have moved to Innisfail, Alberta and started, with her husband full time grain farming and then added the Purebred Red Angus Cattle operation in 2012. Currently she is active and serving on UFA’s Co-operative Leadership Council. She has a passion for the Ag industry and educating the youth of farm safety. She Currently sits as a board member for the Canadian Red Angus Promotion Society where the primary focus is to promote and further educate on the red hided angus cattle in Canada.
Stacey absolutely loves living and educating on the farm. Her 3 kids are fully involved with the farming operation and have their own operation of raising chickens and selling the eggs on their own. When time allows on the farm they love to go camping in the mountains with family, friends, and their horses.
